Al-Barzanji or Berzanji is a prayer, praise and storytelling of the history of the Prophet Muhammad which is usually sung with a rhythm or tone. Shaykh Jafar Al-Barzanji was born on the first Thursday of the month of Zulhijjah in 1126 in Medina Al-Munawwarah and died on Tuesday, after Asr, 4 Shaban in 1177 H in the city of Medina and was buried in Jannatul Baqi`, below the maqam. he was from among the daughters of the Prophet Muhammad SAW.
